Geraniumย phaeumย ‘Alec’s Pink’
Height x Spread: 70cm x 50cm
Flat pinky-purple flowers with gently drooping heads are carried in sprays on erect stems above hummocks of deeply cut foliage. A strong pink form of ‘Mourning Widow’, it is useful for adding delicacy and colour to a late spring shady border.
ย It looks great combined with lime greens such as Euphorbia amygdaloides var. Robbie, or the white and orange of Lilium martagon var. album. ย A bee magnet, it is ideal for a woodland garden.ย This Geranium is quite undemanding and can cope with most reasonably fertile soils, as long as they are not waterlogged. ย It will thrive in shady or partial shady location.
