Geranium sanguineum ‘Album’
Height x Spread: 30cm x 60cm
This long flowering form of ‘Bloody Cranesbill’ delivers a carpet of bright white large saucer-shaped flowers above small, deeply lobed dark green foliage, which turns red in the autumn.
A classic cottage garden plant, it is both very versatile and low maintenance. ย Just trim back faded flower stems to encourage further blooms. ย Use it as decorative ground cover suppressing weeds, within a border or as an ingredient in a wildflower meadow. ย Bees will seek it out. Not particularly fussy it will grow in any fairly fertile soil with some drainage. ย It prefers a sunny or partial shade spot.ย
