Vivid, semi double scarlet flowers float on branching stems high above clumps of fuzzy, crinkled dark green foliage. Regularly deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms .

It combines beautifully with purples, blues, oranges and other reds. Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ is an excellent follow-on plant. It performs best in a sunny site in a free draining soil. It can tolerate some moisture but not being waterlogged.
