Tall, densely packed spikes of light red flowers with a darker standard appear during summer. The blooms which are heavily fragrant stand above palmate-shaped green foliage.
‘My Castle’ thrives in a fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil with a pH of acid to neutral, in either sun or partial shade. Deadhead the flower spikes as they fade and you may well get a second flush of flower. Lupins are classic cottage garden plants.
