MONARDA ‘Prairienacht’

‘Prairienacht’ is an older variety from Germany, much prized for its ragged deep pinky-purple flowerheads, dark stems and fragrant purple tinged foliage.  

Flowering its socks off from early summer through to autumn, this iconic cottage garden plant will add strong colour and texture to the middle of the border.  But include it in your wildlife garden too, as the bees cannot get enough of it.  A spot in the sun or partial shade in any fairly fertile soil that is also moist but free-draining will get the best results.
