Paeonia anomala subsp. veitchii

Flowering from late spring though into early summer P. anomala subs.ย veitchiiย produces single flowers in shades of light to dark pink with a yellow centre. The flowers bloom on top of the foliage and the contrast between the green of the leaves and the pink flowers is very gentle but pops.
This Paeoniaย is happy planted in eitherย full sun or part shade. It’s ideal for aย woodland garden with dappled shade, its relaxed structure lends itself to use in informal planting schemes – combine with Leucanthemum vulgare โMaikoniginโ, Achillea ptarmica โThe Pearlโ, Achilleaย โLachsschonheitโ andย Geumย ‘Lisanne’.
To thrive make sure it’s in a sheltered position and planted in fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
