POTENTILLA Thurberi ‘Monarch’s Velvet’

‘Monarch’s Velvet’ is commonly known as the Scarlet Cinquefoil it has velvety deep red, saucer-shaped flowers their dark red centres fading to scarlet-red as the summer progresses. The flowers of this clump forming perennial contrast wonderfully with its bright green strawberry-like palmate leaves.

‘Monarch’s Velvet’ will thrive in any good soil in either sun or partial shade, it looks fantastic combined with oranges, yellows and other ‘hot’ colours. Cut it back once it has finished blooming and divide large clumps during spring.
